An overnight journey into the Kingdom of Lesotho for a unique, authentic and cultural experience. Marvel in the enormity of the Drakensberg Mountain range as you ascend up Sani Pass into a land of simplistic beauty. Itinerary: Day 1 • Collected at 6am from your guesthouse/hotel • Depart for the southern Drakensberg where you will transfer into 4x4 jeeps • Ascend Sani Pass • Cross over the border into Lesotho and head deep into the interior • Visit a local Basotho community • Picnic lunch with spectacular views • Meet a Sangoma and learn about their traditions • Overnight: Lesotho The Kings Village Day 2 • Explore area around the Kings Village and enjoy local ambience • Experience a blanket presentation and the significance of the different Lesotho blankets which are the national dress of Lesotho and enactment of the local culture • Head for the highest pub in Africa for delicious lunch • Descent the Sani Pass and cross the border into South Africa • Return home at approximately 6pm This tour includes: • Air-conditioned vehicle • Certified guide • Return transfers ex Durban to southern Drakensberg • Accommodation DBB • Private visit to the King's village, deep in the Lesotho Mountain Highlands • Visit a traditional healer with vast knowledge acquired over centuries • Blanket presentation • Picnic lunch at scenic view This tour excludes: • Lunch Day 2 Highest Pub in Africa • Any purchase of a personal nature • Gratuities What to bring: • Passports required and valid visa • Camera • Jacket or windbreaker • Comfortable walking shoes
